Patricia A. Woertz is an Independent Director of the Company. Ms. Woertz is the former Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Archer Daniels Midland Company (“ADM”) (agricultural processors of oilseeds, corn, wheat, etc.), where she joined in 2006 as Chief Executive Officer and President and was named Chairman in 2007. Ms. Woertz retired as Chief Executive Officer of ADM in 2015 and as Chairman in 2016. Prior to joining ADM, Ms. Woertz was with Chevron Corp. for 29 years and retired as EVP Global Downstream. She began her career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Ernst. Ms. Woertz has been a Director of 3M Company since 2016. She was a Director of Royal Dutch Shell plc from 2014 to 2017. With broad executive experience at Chevron and ADM, including as CEO of ADM, and having started her career as a CPA, Ms. Woertz contributes a valuable mix of International and Marketing experience and Finance expertise, enabling her to provide critical perspective on operational and financial aspects of the Company, including accounting and corporate finance matters. Additionally, Ms. Woertz’s experience as an executive of public companies and a director on other public company boards provides her with significant Leadership, Strategy, and Risk Management skills and Corporate Governance experience from which she draws to provide a broad perspective on governance matters and issues facing public companies.
